Consequently, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has reactivated yellow weather warnings affecting five islands, with only Fuerteventura and Lanzarote remaining unaffected. Island-by-Island Warning Details

Tenerife

The island has two active warnings: for wind and for waves. The wind warning affects the east, south, and west of the island and will be active from 21:00 on Wednesday until 07:00 on Thursday. Maximum gusts of 70 km/h are forecast, with north-easterly gusts primarily affecting high-altitude areas, east-southeast and west-northwest slopes. The wave warning comes into force at 12:00 on Wednesday and is active until 23:59 the same day. It affects the east, south, and west coasts, where north-easterly winds of 50 to 61 km/h (force 7) are expected, particularly on the island’s southeast coast.

Gran Canaria

This island also has two active warnings for wind and waves. The wind warning affects the mountain peaks, as well as the east, south, and west of the island, and will be active from 15:00 on Wednesday until 07:00 on Thursday. Maximum gusts of 70 km/h are expected, with north-easterly gusts mainly impacting high areas and east-southeast and west-northwest slopes. The wave warning is in effect from 12:00 on Wednesday until 23:59 the same day. It affects the east, south, and west coasts, where north-easterly winds of 50 to 61 km/h (force 7) are forecast, particularly on the west and southeast coasts.

La Palma

La Palma has a yellow wind warning affecting the mountain peaks and the western slopes of the island. It will be active from 21:00 on Wednesday until 07:00 on Thursday. Maximum gusts of 70 km/h are expected, with north-easterly gusts primarily affecting high-altitude areas and the zone of El Paso.

La Gomera

Two warnings are active here: for wind and waves. The wind warning will be active from 15:00 on Wednesday until 07:00 on Thursday. Maximum gusts of 70 km/h are forecast, with north-easterly gusts mainly affecting high-altitude areas and east-southeast and west-northwest slopes. The wave warning comes into force at 12:00 on Wednesday and lasts until 23:59 the same day. North-easterly winds of 50 to 61 km/h (force 7) are expected, particularly on the west and southeast coasts of the island.

El Hierro

El Hierro has a yellow wind warning affecting the mountain peaks and the western slopes of the island. It will be active from 21:00 on Wednesday until 07:00 on Thursday. Maximum gusts of 70 km/h are expected, with north-easterly gusts primarily affecting high-altitude areas and the zone of El Paso.
