Vilaflor Late 2025: A Cultural Festival in Tenerife’s Heart

Vilaflor Late 2025: A Celebration of Culture and Sustainability

The picturesque town of Vilaflor de Chasna in Tenerife will come alive on August 9, 2025, with the return of Vilaflor Late. This multidisciplinary cultural festival transforms the streets around San Pedro Square into a vibrant hub of creativity, featuring over 50 local brands, free admission, and 16 hours of nonstop programming from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM the following day. Organized by Canary Market Place and supported by the Vilaflor de Chasna Town Council, the event highlights southern Tenerife’s talent while fostering community spirit and sustainable values.

Sustainability Takes Center Stage

This year’s edition introduces “Conciencia Viva: Vilaflor Late Sostenible,” an environmental awareness project funded by GMR (Gestión del Medio Rural) and Volcanic Experience under the Dinamiza Rural initiative. Through online workshops for businesses and on-site activities, the festival aims to promote responsible cultural practices. It’s a key addition to Tenerife’s summer calendar, blending entertainment with eco-conscious education.

Four Pulse Points of the Festival

Vilaflor Late is structured around four thematic “pulses,” each offering unique experiences:

Gastronomic Pulse

Food lovers can savor local wines from acclaimed vineyards like Reverón, El Lomito, Mencey de Chasna, and 1242, paired with culinary delights from Dulcería Hermano Pedro, Casino Club, and Restaurante El Sombrerito. Don’t miss the traditional artisan sweets by Silveria Dorta, a Vilaflor specialty.

Design Pulse

Over 50 brands showcase Canary Islands craftsmanship in fashion, jewelry, and art at the Vilaflor Late Market. Highlights include Karin y Punto, Algodón en Verde, and the pottery collective Las Loceras de La Hoya, turning the town into a showcase for local talent.

Family Pulse

Kids can enjoy workshops, crafts, and a playful “ludoteca” area. This year’s “Pequechef” cooking class teaches children to prepare healthy meals using locally sourced ingredients, blending fun with environmental awareness.

Musical Pulse

The festival crescendos with “Vilaflor al Son,” a Cuban music extravaganza featuring Septeto Boyero, David Pérez, and Grupo La Calle. Fernandito Martín and a roving “Parranda” group will keep the energy high throughout the night.

A Platform for Local and Global Appeal

From its artisan market to its sustainability mission, Vilaflor Late isn’t just for Tenerife residents—it’s a magnet for tourists seeking authentic Canary Islands culture. Whether you’re dancing to Cuban rhythms or tasting kilometer-zero wines, this festival proves that small towns can host unforgettable experiences.
