Historic Move for RTVE’s Kings’ Gala
For the first time in its eight-year history, the Kings’ Gala concert by the RTVE Orchestra and Choir will take place outside Madrid’s Teatro Monumental. The event is set for 6 January at 7:00 pm Canary Islands time at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This family concert will bring the most famous songs from Disney films to life on stage.
A Magical Musical Journey
Themes from beloved movies such as Aladdin, The Lion King, and Frozen, among others, will feature in a magical evening to be broadcast across the country by RTVE in the Canaries. For weeks, professionals from the Production Centre, led by director Borja Ojeda, have been preparing a unique spectacle full of magic and wonder for broadcast on La 2.
Stellar Cast and Enchanting Story
Under the musical direction of José Luis López Antón and stage direction of Diego Carvajal, the show will feature Spain’s Eurojunior representative, Carlos Higes, alongside Blanca Miralles, María Ayo, and choir soloists Ryan Borges and Aridane Betancor. Together, they will take the audience on an unforgettable journey through Disney’s most cherished songs.
The concert tells a story: on the most magical day of the year, the Three Wise Men have lost their magic compass and, without it, cannot deliver presents. Carlos and Blanca accept the challenge to find the compass so the magic of Christmas is not lost. They must follow clues left by the Magi on a thrilling musical voyage, discovering that the true compass lies in the heart of the audience.
How to Get Last-Minute Tickets
Those wishing to experience the concert live with their children still have the opportunity. Tickets can be purchased at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus box office and via its official website.
