Quirónsalud Tenerife: Best Private Hospital in the Canaries for Sixth Year
Quirónsalud Tenerife has been recognised, for the sixth year in a row, as the best private hospital in the Canary Islands according to the 2025 Hospital Excellence Index (Índice de Excelencia Hospitalaria, IEH). The centre holds second place in the overall regional ranking, surpassed only by the public Hospital Universitario de La Candelaria, which leads the regional classification.
A Benchmark for Quality and Innovation
This recognition reinforces Quirónsalud Tenerife’s position as a benchmark in private healthcare in the Canaries, endorsing its ongoing commitment to quality care, technological innovation, management efficiency, and patient-centred attention. The Hospital Excellence Index aims to recognise the excellence, innovation, and contribution to social welfare of hospital centres, consolidating the role of healthcare as a fundamental pillar of the welfare state.
How the Prestigious Ranking is Compiled
The ranking is compiled from 2,300 surveys completed by healthcare professionals and sector managers. They assess aspects such as care quality, medical reputation, technological innovation, management efficiency, patient experience, digitalisation, system sustainability, and the ability to attract and retain talent. The IEH, in both its national and regional editions, is consolidated year after year as a key reference tool for evaluating hospital excellence in Spain, analysing both public and private centres.
The index reflects the strength of a healthcare system supported by highly qualified professionals, recognised at a European level, and by continuous investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology. These are key to driving clinical innovation and safe, personalised, high-quality healthcare.
