Throughout the day, the bakery maintains its French essence with a wide variety of artisan pastries and viennoiserie. The offering also includes cheese-filled pastries, quiches in different flavours, sandwiches, and toasted sandwiches. You can personalise any creation by adding extra ingredients for a small supplement, depending on your choice.

Healthy Treats and Specialty Coffee

For those preferring a healthier route, the café offers a Yogurt Bowl with banana, seasonal fruit, peanut butter, homemade granola, and chocolate chips for six euros, and a Yogurt Parfait—a glass of yogurt with strawberry jam and homemade granola—for three euros. Coffee is another signature element of the establishment, which serves a selection of specialty coffees roasted on the island of La Palma by the artisans of El Café de Don Manuel, guaranteeing an intense and high-quality flavour. Milkshakes are another option for a delightful indulgence, perfect for pairing with their pastries.

Breakfast Delivery and Custom Cakes

For a special treat at home, the local offers breakfast delivery with three different menus, priced between 20 and 25 euros, available for delivery only on the island of Tenerife. Furthermore, the bakery crafts custom-made artisan cakes, perfect for celebrations, which must be ordered 48 hours in advance and can only be picked up at the shop.

A Nod to Canarian Flavours

Although Makika&Co is renowned for its French pastries and careful artisan production, the Canarian spirit has a special place on its menu. Their popular “La Canaria” toast pays homage to the archipelago’s most traditional flavours. It combines sourdough bread with chorizo from Teror and smoked Canarian cheese, a touch of palm honey (guarapo) from La Palma, and a sprinkling of gofio. The result is a perfect blend that showcases its island identity in every bite, while still maintaining the establishment’s core essence.

Housed within the walls of an 18th-century old house, you’ll discover a beautiful Canarian patio filled with lush vegetation. It’s an inviting space to disconnect, enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, and savour pastries made in the purest French style. Makika&Co is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The café is closed on Sundays and Mondays for staff rest.
