Unassailable market leadership
Honda Motos Canarias has made history once again in the two-wheeler sector, confirming its position as the preferred brand for Canary Islands motorcyclists for the eleventh consecutive year. At the close of 2025, the Japanese brand not only maintained its hegemony but also surpassed the 5,000-unit sales barrier in a single year once more, including Ceuta, achieving an impressive 34% market share. This absolute leadership reached its brightest moment in October 2025, when the brand broke its own historic monthly record with 545 units sold, achieving a near 37% market share in the Canaries that month—a figure reflecting uncontested dominance over its competitors.
Top-selling models across key segments
The four best-selling models in the islands are all from the Japanese brand, with the PCX125, Forza 125, ADV350, and X-ADV 750 leading the ranking. Adding the Forza 350 into the mix, five Honda models feature in the Canary Islands’ sales ‘Top 10’ for 2025. A special mention goes to the practical and functional PCX125, which not only leads the highest-volume segment—125cc Scooters—but was also crowned the best-selling motorcycle in the Canaries in 2025, with 954 units. Similarly, the imposing X-ADV 750 reaffirms itself as the best-selling high-displacement motorcycle in the archipelago, with nearly 500 units registered. Finally, the performance of the versatile ADV350 stands out, confirming itself as the undisputed queen of the Big Scooter segment, breaking previous records with over 500 units sold in the Canarian market throughout 2025.
Award-winning recognition
These success figures are complemented by awards won by these three models at the ‘La Moto del Año en Canarias’ (Motorcycle of the Year in the Canaries) awards, granted by the archipelago’s leading specialist media, Canariasenmoto.com. Thus, the PCX125 won in the 125cc Scooter of the Year category, the X-ADV was recognised as A2 Motorcycle of the Year, and the ADV350 received the award for A2 Scooter of the Year 2025 in the Canaries. The media’s readers and motorcycle enthusiasts have once again voted for several Honda models as the best in their segments, certifying their preference for the Japanese manufacturer’s products.
Strategic expansion and customer service
This success on the sales charts has been accompanied by an ambitious strategy of expansion and improved customer service. The year 2025 saw the inauguration of the first Honda Dream Dealer showroom in the Canary Islands, located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife—a premium space designed to offer a top-level customer experience following the brand’s global standards. This important event was attended by Honda’s top representatives in Europe, underlining the archipelago’s strategic relevance for the Japanese firm. In parallel, the opening of the new Honda Canarias offices in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has been a crucial step in strengthening the brand’s logistical and administrative infrastructure.
A renewed and expanded model range
The Honda Canarias model range has been boosted by the renewal of nearly 15 key models, from the smallest PCX125 and CB125F to larger machines like the X-ADV, NT1100, Forza 750, Rebel 1100, or the legendary XL750 Transalp, among others. The catalogue has also been enriched with new additions like the imposing CB1000 Hornet naked bike and the neo-vintage GB350S, which evokes great past eras of the Japanese manufacturer.
Commitment to the local riding community
This leadership is not explained solely by data, but also through an unwavering commitment to the islands’ biking community via a relentless social and sporting agenda. Since the start of the year, with the Novedades Honda 2025 launch event held in Gran Canaria, the Japanese brand has maintained a constant presence across the archipelago. During the central months of the year, Honda promoted Canarian dance talent and culture with a flashmob on Triana street in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and organised unique riding experiences for customers, like the Honda Riding Experience events held in La Palma and Tenerife.
The brand has also been present in busy public spaces like the CC Alisios shopping centre, with striking model displays accompanied by dynamic activations around the Honda stands to interact with attendees. Support for sport has been total, sponsoring high-performance events like the Phoenix On The Beach and The Call Games cross-training competitions, as well as athletics events of the calibre of the Binter Night Run and the Carrera de las Empresas.
In the realm of motorcycle competition, the brand has maintained its constant support for the Regional Motocross Championship, backing riders like young promise Yenedey Sánchez and established rider Jonay Rodríguez, as well as Canarian trial, with support for the I Trial Villa de Santa Brígida tournament, which featured professional rider Jorge Casales as a guest star.
Proximity to the end customer and providing unforgettable experiences has been reinforced with events like the Exclusive Honda X-ADV Route, an off-road tour through the mountains of Gran Canaria that served to demonstrate the great off-road capabilities of this adventurous crossover, and participation in the VIII Ruta y Acampada Motera Betancuria in Fuerteventura, a great occasion for camaraderie and sharing experiences among two-wheel enthusiasts.
Finally, Honda Canarias closed a brilliant 2025 with its traditional Solidarity Route or ‘Motorbike Santas’ ride, which filled the streets of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with bikes, smiles, and Christmas spirit, and by sponsoring the Lleides Freestyle Show in Gran Canaria, a spectacular display of jumps and acrobatics. This reaffirms that its commitment to the Canaries goes far beyond sales figures, forging a community united by passion and excellence on two wheels.
The future: electric power and innovative technology
The future vision of Honda Canarias already points to 2026, a year which is expected to see the arrival of highly anticipated models like the CB1000GT, the CB1000F, and its first large electric motorcycle, the WN7. The CB1000GT is poised to become the new benchmark in the Grand Touring segment, offering an unrivalled combination of high performance and maximum comfort for long distances. Meanwhile, the CB1000F will redefine the standard for one-litre naked bikes, standing out for its retro aesthetic, aggressive style, and exceptional agility. Finally, the WN7 will consolidate the brand’s commitment to sustainability without sacrificing an exciting riding experience, thanks to its 9.3 kWh battery and 18 kW (24.5 hp) electric motor, which give it an estimated range of 140 kilometres.
A fundamental pillar of this new stage will be the democratisation of E-Clutch technology, which will come to high-volume models like the NX500, CBR500R, and the Hornet and Transalp families. This automated clutch control system not only redefines ease of riding but also allows the motorcyclist to enjoy the sensation of a simplified traditional manual gearbox, as it enables the rider to start, stop, and change gear without using the clutch lever—only the gear pedal—offering the best of both worlds and positioning Honda at the forefront of innovation for everyday use.
Meanwhile, EICMA 2025 showcased the brand’s technological future through its first large electric motorcycle, the aforementioned WN7, as well as the V3R 900 E-Compressor prototype, a revolutionary 900cc V3 engine supported by an electronically managed compressor. With a displacement of 900 cc, this powertrain will be capable of offering performance comparable to a standard 1200 cc engine, thanks to the presence of the electronically managed compressor, which precisely controls engine boost to deliver high-response torque at any speed.
