Investigation Ongoing After Fatal Collision
The Guardia Civil is continuing its investigation into the causes of a fatal road accident in which a foreign cyclist, a British national, was hit and killed by a car. The incident occurred at kilometre six of the TF-652 road as it passes through Arona in Tenerife, according to sources from the force speaking to Europa Press.
Emergency Response at the Scene
The collision happened at 20:12 last Monday. Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (Servicio de Urgencias Canario) were dispatched to the location but could only confirm the death of the victim, who was found with injuries incompatible with life, as reported by the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Centre.
Road service crews also attended the scene to secure and clear the carriageway. Local Police officers managed traffic and secured the area, while Guardia Civil officers began the necessary legal proceedings.
No Hypotheses Ruled Out
Sources from the Guardia Civil have confirmed to Europa Press that the investigation remains open to clarify the circumstances. For now, no hypotheses regarding whether or not it was an accident have been ruled out.
