William Levy Dines at Tenerife’s Top Steakhouse

William Levy’s Tenerife filming stint reveals local favourite

For several weeks, William Levy was in Tenerife filming his movie Bajo un Volcán, which will soon have a sequel titled Bajo un fuego. During his stay, the Cuban actor was captivated by the local gastronomy, particularly by Brunelli’s Steakhouse, a restaurant that has become a benchmark on the island. The actor also recalled his Canarian roots, noting that his great-grandfather was from the Islands and highlighting his affection for Spain in an interview with Objetivo TV on Antena 3.

An elegant dining experience by the Atlantic

Located at Calle Bencomo, 42, in Puerto de la Cruz, Brunelli’s Steakhouse is an American-style restaurant that charms every visitor. Behind a discreet façade lies an elegant, bright venue offering the ideal atmosphere to enjoy a meal facing the sea. Its spectacular window open to the Atlantic turns every meal into a unique visual experience, where the sound and breeze accompany every bite.

The art of premium steak

The Cuban actor has been spotted at this restaurant, where the true star is the meat, prepared in an almost artisanal manner. The restaurant has its own ageing chambers and an impressive Southbend oven, unique in the Canary Islands, capable of reaching 800 degrees. This technique seals the meat’s pores, retaining all its juices and flavour, resulting in a roast worthy of the world’s best steakhouses. Its menu combines national and international meats with an ideal 28-day ageing process on-site and precise execution.

From homemade chorizo to irresistible cheesecake

Among its most popular starters are the homemade chorizo (€13), its homemade cheddar and jalapeño croquettes (€12), and the Brunelli’s salad (€18), which adds a fresh touch to the culinary experience. To finish, its creamy Brunelli’s cheesecake (€9) is an irresistible temptation for those with a sweet tooth.

Part of the Loro Parque Group

Brunelli’s Steakhouse is part of the Loro Parque Group, along with the Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden, two references for tourism and excellence in Tenerife. The restaurant offers an exclusive experience combining park entry and a menu at Brunelli’s, a proposal of flavour and incomparable Atlantic views.

Practical information and accolades

The establishment is at Calle Bencomo, 42, Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife). It opens every day for lunch and dinner, from 13:00 to 15:30 and from 19:00 to 23:00. Furthermore, the restaurant has received several accolades that cement it as one of the Canary Islands’ gastronomic benchmarks. In 2020, it was included in the Top 10 Canarian restaurants and has been recommended on four occasions by the Michelin Guide.
