Fully accessible beach infrastructure
The beaches of Las Vistas, Los Cristianos and Las Galletas are equipped with reserved parking, accessible transport, adapted pedestrian routes, ramps leading down to the sand, and facilities such as toilets, changing rooms and showers adapted for people with reduced mobility. This infrastructure ensures a continuous and functional route from the urban environment right to the shoreline.
Spain’s largest beach platform at Las Vistas
One of the most notable features is at Las Vistas beach, where a 500-square-metre wooden platform—the largest of its kind in Spain—has been installed. This platform significantly improves the coastal experience by enabling wheelchair users to move easily to rest and sunbathing areas on the beachfront.
Amphibious chairs for assisted bathing
These improvements are complemented by a service providing amphibious chairs, which allow assisted bathing for people with reduced mobility. This service broadens opportunities to enjoy the sea and reinforces the inclusive nature of the municipality’s beaches.

The drive for accessibility extends to tourist services. The Tourism Board has installed hearing loop systems in all tourist information offices in Arona. This measure improves assistance for people with hearing impairments and ensures more effective communication at public service points.
