RTVE’s Magical Kings’ Concert Debuts in Gran Canaria

Royal Concert Makes Historic Move to Gran Canaria

The prestigious Kings’ Day Gala by the RTVE Symphony Orchestra and Choir is relocating for the first time in its eight-edition history. After being held at Madrid’s Teatro Monumental, the concert will now take place at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as announced by the cultural institution.

A Magical Quest for the Lost Compass

The concert, titled ‘La Brújula Mágica’ (The Magic Compass), will be held on 6th January at 7:00 pm in the auditorium’s Symphonic Hall. Produced in collaboration with the Auditorio y Teatro Foundation of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Canary Islands International Festival, the story revolves around the most magical day of the year. The Three Kings have lost their magic compass and, without it, cannot deliver their gifts.

Characters named Carlos and Blanca accept the challenge to find the compass so the magic of Christmas is not lost. They must follow clues left by the Magi and embark on a thrilling musical journey, discovering that the true compass lies in the heart of the audience.

Beloved Disney Soundtracks Brought to Life

‘La Brújula Mágica’ is a concert full of magic and wonder, where the most famous Disney songs come alive on stage. The performance features music from beloved films such as Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Encanto, Mulan, Pinocchio, and Frozen, among others, creating a truly magical evening.

Under the musical direction of José Luis López Antón and the stage direction of Diego Carvajal, the concert will feature Eurojunior representative Carlos Higes, accompanied by Blanca Miralles, María Ayo, and choir soloists Ryan Borges and Aridane Betancor. Together, they will take the audience on an unforgettable journey through Disney’s most cherished songs.

Tickets can be purchased through the official websites of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium and the Teatro Pérez Galdós.
