New Social Housing Project for El Hierro
The autonomous public company Visocan has put out to tender the works for the construction of a residential complex comprising 24 protected social housing units in the municipality of La Frontera, on El Hierro. The development will include 27 parking spaces, 21 storage rooms, and the corresponding urbanisation works.
Budget and Timelines
The project has a budget of just over €5 million, with a construction period set at 24 months. The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands stated that this project is part of the executive’s strategy to expand the public housing stock, facilitate access to decent housing, and advance territorial cohesion, with special attention paid to the non-capital islands.
