Kora Tigot Resort Opens in South Tenerife

New Sustainable Resort Opens in South Tenerife

Southern Tenerife has reached a new milestone in quality tourism with the opening of Kora Tigot, an 88-apartment complex located in San Miguel de Abona. Designed to offer visitors a unique experience focused on enjoyment, comfort, and community, the resort is a project by the Basque company Kategora, brought to life by the acclaimed Tenerife-based architecture studio Makin Molowny Portela.

Architectural Excellence and Landscape Integration

The studio’s national prestige is built on a combination of technical rigour, sensitivity to the environment, and attention to human scale. Kora Tigot, the new hotel resort from Kora Living, stands as an example of landscape integration, adapting to the terrain and respecting the island’s natural character. The complex combines communal areas designed to foster interaction between guests and leisure, such as a spa, gym, kids’ club, coworking space, and restaurant, with a large central core of pools and a sun terrace surrounded by endemic vegetation that enhances the feeling of privacy and connection with nature.

Canarian-Inspired Design and Modern Comfort

Its interior design, inspired by the essence of the Canary Islands, complements a sustainable architecture that seeks to disconnect guests from the outside pace without forgoing the most modern comforts. The one and two-bedroom apartments at Kora Tigot are fully equipped and feature spacious terraces offering panoramic views of the southern mountains, the sea, or the resort’s own gardens and pools. Every detail by Makin Molowny Portela has been carefully considered to guarantee comfort, functionality, and aesthetics, making every stay a memorable experience.

A Commitment to Sustainability and Efficiency

The orientation and design of the intelligent buildings prioritise the use of local materials, minimising environmental impact and reducing the ecological footprint. Active and passive energy efficiency measures allow for the optimisation of consumption and emissions, respecting the delicate balance of the Tenerife environment.

Proven Partnership and Methodology

The experience of Makin Molowny Portela with the developer Kategora is not new. Previously, the studio developed the Kora Nivaria Beach complex, comprising 122 apartments on the coast of Abades in Arico, thus consolidating a methodology that combines innovation, sustainability, and attention to detail in every project. The studio has once again demonstrated its talent for designing spaces that unite technical precision, architectural excellence, and a refined living experience, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable, quality tourism in Tenerife.
