Footballer Zebensui Ramos, a member of the UD Las Palmas reserve team, is in critical condition after being the victim of a hit-and-run accident, the island club announced on Tuesday. The 23-year-old player, who represents Las Palmas C team, was struck by a vehicle on Monday in the municipality of Arucas, sustaining serious craniocerebral trauma.

Zebensui has been admitted to the Hospital Universitario de Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín, where he remains “in critical condition” under specialized medical care, according to the club’s official statement.
